Francine H. Nicholson
DERRY, N.H. -- Francine H. Nicholson, 49, died Saturday at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Born in Methuen, Mass., she made her home in East Derry. She was educated in Methuen, attending the Presentation of Mary Academy, and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Lawrence, Mass., Class of 1971. She was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and received an honors degree in classics. She also received a master's degree from Smith College in religious and Irish studies.
She worked as a technical writer for Prax Air Tafa in Concord. She was also known for her many worldwide publications and writings on Irish history and religious studies. She was an avid reader and writer.
She leaves her parents Alfred J. and Christina M. (Morse) Nicholson of Methuen; brother Howard M. and his wife Lyn of Methuen; nephew Troy and niece Heather, both of Methuen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial and graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring at the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Methuen.
